Betabar Ophthalmic Solution
5 ml solution
This medicine is used to control and manage intraocular pressure (pressure in eye) in chronic open angle glaucoma (increased eye pressure) and ocular hypertension (high pressure in eye due to poor fluid drainage from the eye).
The patients administered with this medicine may experience irritation, headache, dizziness, systemic effects such as high blood pressure, blepharitis (eyelid inflammation), and other eye disorders.
This medicine should not be used in pregnant females.
The effects of this medicine are unknown in lactating females.
The patients with hyperthyroidism (overly active thyroid gland), Prinzmetal’s angina (chest pain occurring when a person is at rest, between midnight, or early morning), depression, respiratory impairment, cerebral (brain-related) or heart function insufficiency, severe blood circulation disorders, hypotension (low blood pressure), metabolic acidosis (electrolyte-imbalance disorder), untreated pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland), renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) impairment, and eye diseases should use this medicine cautiously.
The patients with severe obstructive pulmonary disease (lung disease), respiratory disorders, severe heart problems, and allergy to any of the medicine’s contents should avoid use of this medicine.
