Indications:
This medicine is used in the management of muscular and skeletal disorder pain, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis affecting joints of spine), acute gout (complex form of arthritis with extreme pain and swelling of joints) and chronic juvenile arthritis (arthritis in children)

Contraindications:
This medicine should not be used by patients allergic to aspirin/anti inflammatory drugs and patients with active peptic ulcer and Proctitis (inflammation of rectum).
Precautions:
Caution is advised while using this drug if you are a patient with a history of gastric lesions, Renal, hepatic (liver) and cardiac insufficiency. Not to be used by patients with hepatic porphyrias and hematologic (blood) abnormalities. In elderly people and patients getting long-term therapy the Liver functions tests and blood tests must be regularly monitored.

This medication is used to relieve the following: Oral: Pain caused by muscular-skeletal disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute gout, and chronic juvenile arthritis. Injection: Back pain, post-operative pain, pain in acute trauma and fractures, and renal colic (stones blocking urinary tract).
Please store the tablet form of this medicine at room temperature (18-25 Celsius). Keep medicine away from children, and excessive light and moisture. Please read the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.
Use this medicine during pregnancy only when no alternate, safer option is available. Not recommended during lactation.
This medicine is available in oral and intravenous forms. The intravenous form must be injected by a medical professional. However, if you are injecting it at home, make sure you follow the correct procedure and take all necessary precautions. The dosage is dependent on the age, condition and its severity. You may experience headache, edema/swelling, pain or irritation at injection site, abdominal pain, peptic ulcer, and abnormalities in hepatic (liver) and renal (kidney) function.
Monitor patients receiving long term therapy, patients with gastrointestinal diseases, patients with heart, renal (kidney), and hepatic (liver) disease, elderly, patients with blood volume depletion (extracellular), high blood pressure, any blood disorders.
Patients with peptic ulcers, aspirin/ anti-inflammatory associated allergies or asthma, severe hepatic (liver) or heart dysfunction, blood diseases.
In most cases Misoprostol will have an effect within 4 hours.
Antacids should be avoided to prevent severe diarrhea.
Do not take misoprostol in pregnancy as it can cause miscarriages. Consult your doctor before taking it and run a pregnancy test if you are suspecting so before taking misoprostol.
